The English Language Teaching Institute (ELT Institute) is part of the Continuing Education Department at  Hunter College of the City University of New York.  

If you are

• an ESL, ESOL, EFL teacher who wants to keep learning and growing professionally
• a teacher of another language whose teaching stresses communication
• an elementary school or secondary school teacher with ELLs among your students
• someone who'd like to start making presentations at work or at conferences
• an experienced teacher who wants to become a mentor or trainer

then... the ELT Institute is for you! 

Our  program is designed to support practicing language teachers both in the United States and around the world.  Whether you have taught for one year, or have twenty-five years of experience, our hands-on seminars and workshops will refresh and expand your teaching skills.

Each week offers one or more seminars plus conference-style workshops or lectures. 

Our ELT Institute faculty includes published authors and world-famous conference presenters.
